Kamu Bisa Gantikan Bing Search Default di Windows 11

Pengguna Windows 11 mungkin sudah mengetahui bahwa Bing Search menjadi mesin pencarian yang telah menjadi pengaturan default di sistem operasi terbaru ini, di mana Bing Search akan terbuka ketika kamu ingin mencari kata kunci tertentu di internet.

Ternyata, ada banyak pengguna Windows yang malah lebih nyaman mencari kata kunci di Google Search. Jika kamu mengakses Google Search di Chrome dan bahkan Edge, maka kamu akan diarahkan terlebih dahulu ke Bing Search. Rasanya, agak kurang nyaman bukan?

Microsoft baru saja mengatakan bahwa di Windows 11 kamu bisa mengubah Search Engine Default ke versi Google Search, bahkan kamu bisa menerapkannya langsung di pengaturan Google. Tentunya ketentuan ini tidak berubah begitu saja, melalui banyak kesepakatan yang dilakukan oleh EU, akhirnya monopoli Software ini direalisasikan.

As per the documentation, changing search providers in Windows 11 will require some technical prowess on the users’ behalf, but most of the changes have to be done by developers and Microsoft. Devs need to create an MSIX package with a package manifest to store the preferred search provider, and users can install it via the Microsoft Store.

For example, you can install an app from the Microsoft Store that will set the preferred search engine to Google. Similarly, Duck Duck Go can create and publish its own MSIX package to the Microsoft Store, and you can install that app to modify the search engine.” Windows LatestDikutip dari .

Fitur ini memang belum dirilis di Indonesia, di mana baru beberapa negara di Eropa saja yang terpilih bisa mengubah mesin pencari mereka dengan Google dan bukan Bing Search lagi. Namun, kita menunggu agar fitur ini mungkin akan diperluas ke Indonesia.
