WinBox Mikrotik provides a GUI-based environment to control Mikrotik routers. While the routers can be configured from a Command Line Interface (CLI), GUI is a much more user-friendly option. Note, however, that some advanced configurations aren’t supported in it, so you still have to use CLI every time you need those configurations. Many users have been relying on WinBox Mikrotik to manage their routers. Being officially developed and released by Mikrotik, there is no doubt that the software is a reliable one, but it is just another part of the main reasons for its popularity.
